Explanations

3 seconds, no comfort is my attempt to capture snapshots of life without the use of a camera. Because to notice what is around around you is called living, and words can come to anyone like breathing. Combine that philosophy with the palpable fascination I hold for giving a story to everything I see, be it long or short, and the origins of this site are set in stone.

Every paragraph or sentence comes with an unbidden scenery. Sometimes it is the same as the one I took the words from, other times it is completely different. More oft than not the contents of this site would have been provoked by the smallest of things. If I have writing utensils at my disposal I jot my response down to type up later, if I don't I put the words somewhere safe in my head - and that is how a lot of the morphing from reality (was there ever one?) to fantasy occurs.

I enjoy ambiguity to an unhealthy extent, and the title of this site, along with the title of every piece in the portfolio, demonstrates that well. Frankly, I think titles grant too much power to the third party, simply because they create a label for the content, similar to a web or a cage. That said, I recognise titles as being necessary at this level of humanity, so I haven't denied them to this website (or its contents). Each title on this site (and the one for this site) represents a meaning(s) which allows further and personal interpretation, because I don't believe in limits.

It is advised that you, as the third party, do not over-analyse the information I have provided. Nothing on this site is meant to be taken as a means to an end, nor understood as a portion of "the meaning of life". If however, you have something to give in response to what you have taken in, I am always happy to receive.

Technical information is as follows: this layout was designed in Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and Illustrator CS2 (where the brush is from), and coded in Araneae 4.5.2. The words featured in the banner are extracts from a short story entitled Imprint written by me during March 2006 for an English class in school.
